Rethink Coalition Hosts Final Reconnecting Communities Workshop: Shaping the Vision for the Southeast Gateway
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Rethink Coalition invites residents, community leaders, and advocates to join Workshop 3: Shaping the Vision, the final community engagement event in the USDOT-funded Southeast Gateway Reconnecting Communities Study. This is a pivotal opportunity for community members to help shape the future of one of Indianapolis’s most transformative infrastructure projects.
As the study enters its final chapter, the design and engineering teams have developed three exciting concepts that balance practical feasibility, industry standards, and bold community ideas. During this interactive session, participants will review these designs, share their feedback, and help refine a shared vision for the Southeast Gateway.
“The Southeast Gateway project has been community-driven from the start, ” said Brenda Freije, President and CEO of the Rethink Coalition. “This final workshop represents the culmination of months of listening, learning, and collaboration. It’s where ideas meet action, and where residents can see how their voices have directly influenced the vision for reconnecting our city’s neighborhoods. ”
